Who Can Join?

Eastern Edge Robotics is a multidisciplinary student design team at Memorial University of Newfoundland. Our members come from a wide range of programs across Memorial University and the Marine Institute, bringing together diverse perspectives to design, build, and operate our competition ROV.

You don't need previous robotics experience to join. We welcome students who are interested in learning, collaborating, and contributing to a real engineering project.

What You'll Work On

As a member of Eastern Edge Robotics, you'll help design, build, test, and operate our competition ROV. There are many ways to contribute, whether you enjoy hands-on work, coding, design, organization, or communication.

Members contribute to areas such as:

• Design and Fabrication: Use computer-aided design (CAD) to design tools and parts, build prototypes with 3D printers, and operate CNC machines.
• Electrical Systems: Build wiring, integrate sensors, design power conversion systems, and develop printed circuit boards (PCBs).
• Software: Develop control software, operator tools, computer vision, and embedded software.
• Piloting and Testing: Pilot the ROV, test new systems, and troubleshoot problems.
• Business and Outreach: Support sponsorships, events, documentation, and team promotion.
